A sample of photos from face-to-face workshop for UNSW’s online Geodesign subject. Students interacted with the City Analytics Lab and using a combination of GitHub, KeplerGL and Geojson.io re-iterated throughout the Geodesign process to design resilient future scenarios for the Central Coast, NSW.
“Geodesign is a design and planning method which tightly couples the creation of design proposals with impact simulations informed by geographic contexts, systems thinking, and digital technology” (Flaxman, 2012). The objective of this course is to introduce the fundamental theory, concepts, and frameworks of geodesign put forward by Dr. Carl Steinitiz. Students will become familiar with the geodesign process by reviewing case studies including specific case study applications in Sydney and Arizona State University.”
